Grammy Award Winner Bobby Brown Wins Ten Thousand Dollars For His Favorite Charity.


Former New Edition member Bobby Brown along with other Boy Band members: Joey Fatone (Formerly of NSYNC), Drew Lachey (Formerly of 98°) and Wanya Morris (Boyz II Men),recently took part in the karaoke game show known as The Singing Bee. The Celebrity Episode was called “Boy Band Goes Country.” They faced off to compete and win $10,000 for a charity of their choice. The game show airs on CMT (Country Music Television)

The event took place at Studio City California. Melissa Peterman hosted the show and the episode premiered June 3rd 2011 on CMT.com.

All contestants were connected to a specific charity. Bobby’s favorite charity is The Boys and Girls Club of Boston.

“We are grateful to Bobby Brown for selecting Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. The unexpected funding will help us provide quality programming to the 14,000 children and teens we serve in Greater Boston,” said Alexandra Fuchs, Chief Advancement Officer for Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.

Other updates on Bobby include the arrival of his long awaited new album, ‘The Master Piece,’ (Bronxbridge Entertainment. Inc.)which is scheduled to be available August 2011.
