ATL Live on the Park...So FRESH!

Sitting in the audience, special guest Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed took part in the festive evening. We got a front row seat of Atlanta’s mayor standing to his feet when Ron Devoe (BBD & New Edition) did a one man version of Poison and pumped his fist in the air when Dougie Fresh led an all-hands-on-deck version of La Di Da Di. Video provided by On the Real Mag Also in the crowd of celeb-concert goers were Soul Train Holdings CEO Kenard Gibbs, Frank Ski, Rodney Jerkins, Dallas Austin, Sister 2 Sister publisher Jamie Foster Brown, Chaka Zulu, Catherine Brewton, Kawan Prather and many more! The show's original featured acts were R&B veteran Donell Jones, newcomer Rhonda Nicole and Universal Motown/Darkchild Records girl group Purple Reign. As usual, guests and fans alike were thrilled to be treated to impromptu performances by Brownstone's Nicci Gilbert and Ron Devoe. But the stage-stealer of the night was Doug E. Marriage Counesling? Keyshia Cole is a Fan!

If you ask Keyshia, marriage counseling really works. She and husband NFL player Daniel Goodson are outspoken advocates for it. In an interview with Essence.com, they gave a insight into what they've learned. Initially hesistant at first, Daniel took to the mindset many blacks take to counseling.“At first, I didn’t believe in it. I’m a strong Christian, so I believed that, like, you go to God and you fix it and you pray about it, but sometimes you do need a different opinion,” Keyshia also offered her personal testament to why and how it has worked for her, but admits it’s work staying happily married. “Once I get upset, there’s kind of no turning back,” the singer explained. “He knows that that’s not fair, and I know that’s not fair. Sometimes I really get caught up in my emotions and I’m really good at it.
