A3C ANNOUNCES THE 2016 PRO-AUDIO CENTER


Events Include Bad Boy's Hitmen Reunion, Sample Flip Saturday, The Making Of ATLiens, And More

The A3C Festival & Conference is pleased to announce its audiophile dream, the Pro-Audio Center, taking place at SAE Institute's Atlanta campus located at 215 Peachtree St. NE (downtown) from October 7th to October 9th in Atlanta, GA.  

One of the highlights at the Pro-Audio Center includes Bad Boy's Hitmen Reunion panel with multi-platinum-selling producers such as: Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, Nasheim Myrick, and production team Sean C & LV.  The aforementioned panelists are responsible for undeniable Bad Boy hits that include, Biggie's "Hypnotize," The Lox, DMX, and Black Rob's "24 Hours To Live," and G. Dep's "Keep It Gangsta."  The Bad Boy Hitmen Reunion panel comes on the hills of the recently announced five-disc, 80-track Bad Boy Entertainment 20th anniversary box set, out August 12th

"Producers, audio engineers and DJs help to create the sound and direction for artists and are some of the most under appreciated creatives in Hip-Hop.  The Pro-Audio center is an essential stop for all music makers in the genre," states Mike Walbert, Executive Director of A3C.

Attendees of A3C's Pro-Audio Center are able to network with some of Hip-Hop's most influential music makers.  Last year's speakers included: Just Blaze, The Alchemist, Metro Boomin, Bryan Michael Cox, Pete Rock, Zaytoven, R. City, Needlz, Sean Garrett, Bangladesh, Sonny Digital, and many more.

It's the 20-year anniversary of Outkast's ATLiens.  We are going to travel back in time with the legendary Dungeon Family DJ/Producer, Mr. DJ, to talk about the creative process that brought this classic album to life. 

*Playback Sessions
Artists and producers bring one song or beat on a USB and get feedback on the spot from some of hip-hop's most accomplished producers, songwriters and A&Rs.

*Sample Flip Saturday with M16
Just bring your headphones & laptop -- samples will be supplied.  Participants have two hours to flip the sample. The most creative flip wins a partner prize package, free lifetime membership to iStandard and three exclusive sound kits.

*Started From Scratch: DJ Documentary with DJ Jelly
An interactive discussion that illustrates just how long Atlanta's now prominent Hip-Hop scene has been building and just where and when certain very important seeds were planted.  We will connect the dots to show the importance of DJs, talk jocks and turntablists alike have had on the rise of the Atlanta Hip-Hop scene.

 Held in Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Tokyo, Native Sessions is a series of regular events dedicated to bringing NI users, experts, and the wider music community together to explore the future of music making with KOMPLETE, TRAKTOR, and MASCHINE.

*Manage Me Please: A Producer's Manager with Rico Brooks
Producers need managers too. Every producer wants to get their music to the masses, but most lack the right management that can provide them with the right opportunities. We will be discussing how and when to find a manager, what a manager should be able to provide, and what skills are required to be a successful producer.

Place Your Records with Bryan-Michael Cox and Ray Daniels
Producers always ask "How can I get placements?'" The right placement can make a producer's career. We will discuss the right approach and process to getting a great placement. Get insight from the manager and A&R's side as well as the producers directly.
