When you have two brothers fighting to the death, who do you root for? Neither. You wait for one of them to tap out.
Tom (Tom Hardy) and Brendan (Joel Edgerton) are estranged brothers separated as kids. Coming from an abusive home, dad (Nick Nolte) was a drunken boxer and mom was an unwilling punching bag. Both boys took different paths in life when their parents split years ago. Fast forward and they are two very different men, but both talented fighters in grave need. When an opportunity to win a $5 million dollar purse in a mixed martial arts tournament comes around, both men prove worthy. But there's only one winner.
Warrior is a gritty and emotionally dramatic film. From beginning to end, both brothers had the audience on their side and rooting for them. But in the end, when the two face off you just sit and hold your breath and wait for the final bell. Warrior is an edge of your seat must see movie.
Warrior is in theaters on September 9, 2011.
