Is Donald Trump the new host of Let's Make A Deal?
He thinks so.
He thinks so.
Donald Trump had the web all abuzz this morning as the national media tapped their feet in anticipation of a special announcement that he'd be releasing information about President Obama. So in grand Trump style, he releases a video on YouTube propositioning the president.
Cue the worlds' smallest violin:
Trump states, "If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications and if he gives his passport applications and records I will give to a charity of his choice—inner-city children in Chicago, American Cancer Society, AIDS research, anything he wants—a check immediately for $5 million."
Well, eyes are rolling nationwide as Obama supporters feel as if they have had this conversation before. This time he's actually being offered money for it.
I posted the video on my Facebook page and here are some thoughts from friends:
Celeste in Florida:
The behavior is disrespectful to the office of the president whoever is sitting in the seat!! #teamobama
What purpose will it serve? He released the birth certificate and this silly sad man is still talking. He's the president end of story! I first voted for the president when Clinton took office before that I never really paid any attention but the blatant disrespect of the office of the president since Obama took office is ridiculous. And it goes back to one thing.....he's black!
Mel in Georgia:
If its not a big deal, then why are his records sealed and he refuses to release them? Why not, Charity of his choice gets help and the American people gets their answers and Obama doesnt look like he is hiding something. I think it is awesome.
Im curious why Obama has spent MILLIONs to keep these normally public records under lock and key. He has not proven he is eligible to be the POTUS. Its an incentive more like.
Sharon in Louisiana:
It's disrepectful of the office that he holds. It's an attempt to make him look uncaring. Charity comes from the heart. It should never be used for leverage... if it were truly an issue, that would have been hashed out in the first go around.
Reese in the UK:
I'm no gung-ho Obama supporter, but as the President of the United States has he not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he has all the qualifications to be in the position that he has earned as Commander in Chief? Get real Donald, the race is getting close and now the nut jobs are coming to the surface.
....and then there is the infamous nothing-ness video:
