MillerCoors hosted its 3rd Annual T.A.P. Awards – The Great
Taste [A] Fair for a community of supporters for Hosea Feed the
Hungry in Atlanta. Guests offered bags of non-perishable food items to be donated
to the local charity and were then treated with a carnival-styled evening that
made everyone feel like a kid again. A big kid.
The space formerly known as Fox
Sports Bar & Grill was transformed into an indoor fairground complete with:
clowns, face-painting, candy apples, chicken-tossing, beer tasting, food
sampling by the famed celebrity Chef Jason Ellis and so much more. The only
thing missing were those who could not make it. Of course you can still make
donations to Hosea Feed the Hungry throughout this holiday season.

Guests
were offered an array of samples by MillerCoors's new brands such as: Batch 19, Redd's
Apple Ale (my favorite), Henry Weinhard's and Third Shift. Classics like:
Crispin, Blue Moon, Coors Light
and Miller Lite were
also on tap for the loyal consumer. One highlight of the evening was the live
and interactive Peroni food pairing experience courtesy of Chef Jason Ellis. I sampled the lamb shoulder…YUM!
MillerCoors
also partnered with The Young Professional Advisory Board for Hosea Feed The Hungry, encouraging
guests to donate can goods at the event for the holiday season. The
2012 recipients of the T.A.P. Awards were awarded to: R&B artist Q. Parker
for the Sound of the City Award, Cafe Circa for the Restaurant of the Year
Award, Dudley’s for Sports Bar of the Year Award and Opera Nightclub for
Platinum Seller of the Year Award.
Though
it was evident that everyone had a great time, the feeling multiplied as we noticed
the bins designated for giving continued to swell with donations. If you know
someone in need this holiday season or would like to learn more about
volunteering and giving, click here.
Happy
Holidays!
