Multi-talented Keke Palmer will adding a new hat on top of her ever-evolving career.
The actress/singer/talk show host has been named the first black actress to put on the glass slipper in the upcoming Broadway show 'Cinderella'.
In an interview with The Associated Press, she said, “I feel like the reason I’m able to do this is definitely because Brandy did it on TV...In me doing this, it shows everybody that everything is possible.”
The role of Cinderella was played on the small screen by singer/actress Brandy Norwood, who was joined by Whitney Houston in the ABC remake, which scored an estimated 60 million viewers.
Keke Palmer currently holds down the couch on BET as host of her own show Just Keke where she chops it up with some of today's most interesting and relevant celebs. She's been successfully winning our hearts since her 2004 debut in Barbershop 2. She's most notably famous for rolls as Akeela in the 2006 film Akeela and the Bee and the voice of Peaches in the animated blockbuster Ice Age: Continental Drift. She'll be reprising her roll in the 2015 Ice Age 5.
