The STEM project enables girls to learn how to program everyday items with electronic devices to perform cool and useful functions like turning a shoe box into knock lock box to hide stuff from their siblings and using a motion sensor to turn on a radio when they or someone else walks into the room. Other projects include building a robotic arm to move things around, creating a wireless game system and creating a dancing suit with lights. Girls may rank the projects that most interest them and send an email to email@example.com.
The GIRL$ STEM Programs have been funded by a grant from Wells Fargo. Additional funds are needed for 2014. Donations can be made at www.enchantedcloset.org. Questions regarding the STEM projects and other GIRL$ Program offerings should be directed to the Enchanted Closet at 404-221-3498 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Advance registration and parental consent is necessary for girls under the age of 18. Approximately 25 girls will be selected for the 2014 programs.
