She then went on to become the host of the "A-Team" Morning Show on the same station, where she was one of only three women in the country leading a Hip Hop and R&B morning show at that time. Rashan's journey in radio came full circle in 2010 when she was reunited with Ryan Cameron as the co-host of The Ryan Cameron Show on V-103 FM, Atlanta's #1 urban formatted station.

"I'm happy to be back doing what I love to do," said Ali. "Even though I've transitioned to TV and other ventures over the years, radio has remained one of my passions, so I'm excited to be back on-air and connecting with the great people of Atlanta every morning."

Meet Usher's Puppy: An Adorable $12,000 Goldendoodle!

October 25: Honoree and puppy lover, Usher Raymond IV attends the second annual Pencils of Promise Gala at Guastavino's in New York City.
Usher attended the Oct. 25 Pencils of Promise gala in New York City and outbid former Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr in order to take home an adorable -- and coveted -- Goldendoodle puppy.

A cross-bred dog that is a mix between a golden retriever and a poodle, Usher's new pet came with a price tag of $12,000 -- money that goes to the Justin Bieber-endorsed organization that builds schools in impoverished nations. (Not to be ignored, Szohr bid an impressive $11,000 in an attempt to take the animal home, according to reports.)

"Poppy Raymond is what I'm think of namin' her . . . however there are two gregarious 3- and 4-year-olds that will have the last say -- and the responsibility that comes with her," the singer, 34, tweeted after taking home the animal, referring to his two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Raymond, who will likely be bowled over by their dad's latest purchase.
Donating funds to adopt a new pet wasn't the only kind gesture Usher made at the event. The "Numb" singer also donated a private dance lesson as an auction item. Following a bidding war between Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun -- the brother of Pencils of Promise founder Adam Braun -- and two families in attendance, Braun let the families take the prize after they each bid $65,000 for the lesson.

Fresh Prince and Doug E. Fresh Perform for Gabrielle Union's 40th Birthday Bash

Gabrielle Union 40th Birthday Bash
Gabrielle Union couldn't have had a better 40th birthday party if she'd planned it for her Sweet 16. She partied at a pajama themed bash in Miami to celebrate the occasion. To add icing to her over-the-top cake, to have both the Fresh Prince, Will Smith and the human beat box entertainer Doug E. Fresh perform at your party is one for the records.

For the record, Will came with it. His rhymes have graduated from "Parents Just Don't Understand". Take a look:

New York TV and Film on Super-Storm Hiatus

Super-storm Sandy has foiled a lot of plans for the TV and film industry on the east coast. Just how much is the question.

New York officials have yanked all film permits for Monday and Tuesday because of hurricane Sandy.

"There will be no city authorized outdoor filming within the five borough," read a statemented Monday from the Mayor's office of Film, Theater and Broadcasting.

This means a no-go for TV shows like "Persons of Interest," "Smash," (which is set to feature Jennifer Hudson) "666 Park Avenue," "Gossip Girl," and "Elementary". Jimmy Kimmel even cancelled his late show on Monday where he was scheduled to host his Hollywood-based "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" throughout the week from Brooklyn, where he was born. ABC said the network was hopeful Kimmel's show could return on Tuesday with guest Howard Stern, Tracy Morgan and Shannon Jones and the Dap Kings. Talk show hosts David Letterman and Jimmy Fallon taped their shows live without an audience.

Donald Trump and the Infamous Nothing-ness

Donald Trump
Is Donald Trump the new host of Let's Make A Deal?
He thinks so.

Donald Trump had the web all abuzz this morning as the national media tapped their feet in anticipation of a special announcement that he'd be releasing information about President Obama. So in grand Trump style, he releases a video on YouTube propositioning the president.

Cue the worlds' smallest violin:

Trump states, "If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications and if he gives his passport applications and records I will give to a charity of his choice—inner-city children in Chicago, American Cancer Society, AIDS research, anything he wants—a check immediately for $5 million."

Well, eyes are rolling nationwide as Obama supporters feel as if they have had this conversation before. This time he's actually being offered money for it.

I posted the video on my Facebook page and here are some thoughts from friends:

Celeste in Florida:
The behavior is disrespectful to the office of the president whoever is sitting in the seat!! #teamobama

What purpose will it serve? He released the birth certificate and this silly sad man is still  talking. He's the president end of story! I first voted for the president when Clinton took office before that I never really paid any attention but the blatant disrespect of the office of the president since Obama took office is ridiculous. And it goes back to one thing.....he's black!

Mel in Georgia:
If its not a big deal, then why are his records sealed and he refuses to release them? Why not, Charity of his choice gets help and the American people gets their answers and Obama doesnt look like he is hiding something. I think it is awesome.
Im curious why Obama has spent MILLIONs to keep these normally public records under lock and key. He has not proven he is eligible to be the POTUS. Its an incentive more like.

Sharon in Louisiana:
It's disrepectful of the office that he holds. It's an attempt to make him look uncaring. Charity comes from the heart. It should never be used for leverage... if it were truly an issue, that would have been hashed out in the first go around.

Reese in the UK:
I'm no gung-ho Obama supporter, but as the President of the United States has he not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he has all the qualifications to be in the position that he has earned as Commander in Chief? Get real Donald, the race is getting close and now the nut jobs are coming to the surface.

....and then there is the infamous nothing-ness video:

J-Hud, Halle Berry, LL, More Film Whitney Houston TV Tribute

Singer Jennifer Hudson performs at a taping of We Will Always Love You: A GRAMMY Salute To Whitney Houston on October 11, 2012 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles, California. The show airs November 16, 2012

Jennifer Hudson, Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Halle Berry, Taraji P. Henson, Usher, CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams were among the celebs who filmed a musical tribute to Whitney Houston scheduled to air next month on CBS.

Rocking a pompadour and glittery jacket reminiscent of Houston’s stage costumes from the 1980s, Hudson sang a medley of Houston’s hits Thursday at LA’s Nokia Theatre for “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston,” which will air as an hour-long special on CBS Nov. 13.

Jennfer Hudson
“She has been a huge part of my life musically,” Hudson said. “She’s just been like this outline, this blueprint for myself.”

Spears said she’s always been “a huge fan” of Houston’s.

“I think she’s amazing,” Spears said. “And I think that her voice is better than God. I just, I love her.”

Houston died at 48 the night before the Grammy Awards in February from accidental drowning complicated by drug use and heart disease. LL Cool J honored her at the awards ceremony in February but said Thursday that the singer’s musical contributions merit more.
“The time that we spent remembering Whitney at the Grammys wasn’t really enough for her career,” he said. “Even though it was wonderful, and I got to say the prayer, and I got to address her death, her career was larger than just a few segments. You need a whole show to celebrate a career like Whitney Houston’s.”

The tribute is set to air as T.D. Jakes, a minister and producer of Houston’s final film, “Sparkle,” said Houston’s early death can serve as a sad cautionary tale.

“Our message and our heart’s cry to young people is to really govern the choices that they make, and that those choices have consequences, long term consequences,” he said. “It is not enough to be talented. We must also be wise.”

Marriage Counesling? Keyshia Cole is a Fan!

If you ask Keyshia, marriage counseling really works. She and husband NFL player Daniel Goodson are outspoken advocates for it. In an interview with, they gave a insight into what they've learned.

Initially hesistant at first, Daniel took to the mindset many blacks take to counseling.“At first, I didn’t believe in it. I’m a strong Christian, so I believed that, like, you go to God and you fix it and you pray about it, but sometimes you do need a different opinion,”

Keyshia also offered her personal testament to why and how it has worked for her, but admits it’s work staying happily married. “Once I get upset, there’s kind of no turning back,” the singer explained. “He knows that that’s not fair, and I know that’s not fair. Sometimes I really get caught up in my emotions and I’m really good at it. So, like our psychiatrist says, I have to try to do ‘the unnatural thing.’ So, I’m trying.”
The couple is happily married, but they’ve got to work to spend time together since their schedules are so busy.
